Throughout my ten years of corporate background, I had professional experiences in the marketing and innovation departments. The times I gained the most knowledge were when I pondered on corporate entrepreneurship and innovation and created innovative products. Experimenting with the company before deciding to become an entrepreneur was a great way to learn about life and an entrepreneurial perspective.

I have been the founder of 4 startups as an entrepreneur for the last three years. Consecutively in the order of establishment; GOOINN, ALLE Pregnant, TripMov and finally, HeyFounder.

What I learned as an entrepreneur in 3 years was more than what I learned in the corporation for 10 years because, during my entrepreneurship, I tried to create solutions based on the actual needs and problems of the customers I targeted. This focus enabled me to separate the phenomenon called “work” in my mind, to look at the world differently, and most importantly, to work while having fun. It may be a very sensible way to create this experience first in the company you work for, and then try it outside the company if you think entrepreneurship is suitable for you.

When I first founded GOOINN, I was sure that I did not want to be a regular consulting firm, I wanted to establish a human-independent structure, but I didn't exactly know-how. We have experienced the Design Thinking method many times, both in the initiatives I founded and in transforming Turkey's big companies into a Design Thinking-oriented structure with GOOINN. The best part of trying Design Thinking for so many different purposes, people and projects were that we turned it into competence to create solutions based on customer needs. Now, with the help of all these experiences and methods, we are here with HeyFounder, which arises entirely from customer needs and problems.

HeyFounder is an online workshop that allows its users to build a step-by-step initiative using Design Thinking and Lean New Entrepreneurship methods. The reason why we call it an online workshop is; With tools that work simultaneously with videos, it enables potential entrepreneurs to experience the whole process, from getting to know themselves to find the problem, creating and choosing an idea, establishing a business model and even investor presentation, and learning while doing it.

A lot of people worked hard to build HeyFounder; First of all, I would like to thank my dear wife Nihan and my dear daughter Mercan. It's never really possible for me to achieve anything without their love and support.
